About Us
The Knox Nocturnals program, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Knox and supported by volunteers and professional youth workers, offers a fun and free social inclusion program for 12–18-year-olds in Knox, connecting young people of all abilities in a safe environment. To participate, young people must have a connection with Knox, such as living, attending school, working, or volunteering in the area. Through this program, participants can make friends, learn new skills, and build confidence.
Program Features
Participants will enjoy a variety of activities, such as sports, street dance, circus skills, and arts, along with a nutritious hot dinner and supper. They will also benefit from personal development, life-skills workshops covering topics like relationships, mental health, self-care, drugs and alcohol, and online safety, as well as the option for transport home by minibus if needed for those residing in Knox.
Volunteer Roles
Join the rewarding volunteer team for the Knox Nocturnals Youth Program! We're looking for volunteers to support activity groups, catering, transport, and general assistance. You'll be appreciated for your skills, meet new people, enjoy shared meals, and, most importantly, have a great time! Detailed role descriptions can be found on our website. Prior to joining, all volunteers will need to undergo a Police Check and possess a current Working with Children (WWC) Card, comply with Rotary Youth Protection policy, complete Child Safety training, and participate in a Volunteer Induction and Training Night.
